As a new employee to Stanford University, you probably have a lot of questions.
In the Introduction to Stanford Finance and Research Administration class, you are provided a lot of information, web resources, points of contact, etc. for various subjects. This page is designed as a compendium to that class, so you can link directly to the resources discussed.
Some questions you may have are:

There are various training classes and certifications Stanford University employees should take. But not everyone needs the same skills and information. There are many acronyms at Stanford. This page offers some of the common acronyms you will hear at Stanford University. It is not all-inclusive, but paints a broad picture. Never hesitate to ask someone "What does that stand for?"!

will serve as a valuable resource to you:

Policy Handbook Written and Updated by the Office of the
Dean of Research. Has many policies and procedures related to
research administration.
- Administrative
Guide Stanford University's official manual for Administrative
Organization and Policies, including accounting, personnel, procurement,
computing, etc.
- SUPAD - Stanford
University Personal Administrative Desktop - a Stanford jump
site to applications (such as Oracle Financials and ReportMart), related policies, procedures and help on finances, personnel,
computing, student services, etc. This site can be configured to meet your personal needs!
