Closeout Strategy
Effective with awards ending March 30, 2006 and beyond, OSR has implemented a new closeout strategy aimed at facilitating the closeout process. Cornerstones of the new approach include:
- more inclusive (and earlier) notifications to campus about awards that are scheduled to close
- better guidance on problem areas and types of expenditures that typically need to be reviewed
- more active communication between OSR and departments during the award closeout period
- an escalation process to ensure timely problem resolution
- submission of final financial reports within agency due dates.
