Closeout Strategy

Effective with awards ending March 30, 2006 and beyond, OSR has implemented a new closeout strategy aimed at facilitating the closeout process.   Cornerstones of the new approach include:

  • more inclusive  (and earlier) notifications to campus about awards that are scheduled to close
  • better guidance on problem areas and types of expenditures that typically need to be reviewed
  • more active communication between OSR and departments during the award closeout period
  • an escalation process to ensure timely problem resolution
  • submission of final financial reports within agency due dates.
Details about the process, timeline, and applicable policy are included below.  If you have questions about this new strategy, please don't hesitate to contact one of the following individuals on our contact list.
