Negotiation and Acceptance

Award Accepted by the Institutional Representative

An award is accepted by the University on behalf of the Principal Investigator once all terms and conditions have been agreed upon including the scope of the work, special circumstances and Stanford University’s key agreement points. Once the award is accepted we are contractually bound to perform whatever is documented in the award. Information regarding the proposal and award is entered into the Sponsored Projects Integrated Data Entry Retrieval System (SPIDERS) database. The Institutional Representative then forwards the Sponsor Notice of Award and the Stanford Notice of Award Cover Sheet to the PI. It is important for the administrator to ensure all documentation is consistent. If you have a question or find errors please contact your Institutional Representative.
