  • The Environmental Venture Projects (EVP) program provides seed funding to interdisciplinary teams of Stanford faculty for research that results in realistic solutions to major environmental challenges.

  • Iris F. Litt, M.D. Fund (part of the The Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research)
    The Iris F. Litt, M.D. Fund was established in 1997 to support Stanford faculty conducting research on women and gender. Dr. Litt is Director of the Division of Adolescent Medicine and National Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars and Physician Faculty Scholars Programs; and the Marron and Mary Elizabeth Kendrick Professor of Pediatrics.

    Award recipients will participate in a lunchtime workshop seminar held twice in the fall quarter and again in the spring quarter of the academic year. Recipients will present their research for discussion and feedback. The seminar is moderated by Institute director, Professor Londa Schiebinger. Apply online

  • The William and Flora Hewlett Endowment Fund for Area and International Studies and Research at Stanford

    The Hewlett Fund invites proposals only for short-term and relatively low-cost activities or programs directed by members of the Academic Council. Awards typically support faculty research travel or materials, course development, conferences, and research assistantships. Awards range from $500 to $2500 and are frequently considered supplements to external grants.
