Research Accountant 1 - Job Code 4471 - Requisition 90927
The Research Accountant will perform post award accounting responsibilities including setting-up of accounts, preparing financial reports, invoicing sponsors for reimbursements. The accountant will work collaboratively with institutional representatives, fellow accounting staff and department research administrators to ensure compliance with sponsored research agreement terms and conditions, University policies, and federal regulations and requirements. The Contract and Grant Officers within ORA have delegated signing authority on behalf of the University to endorse proposals for extramural funding and prepare, review and negotiate a full array of contracts, subcontracts, grants, and other agreements including research-related agreements, such as data use and collaboration agreements.
