My Reminders

Create and manage reminders in SeRA so you never miss a deadline or action item! You can now set personal reminders for:

  • Upcoming proposals
  • Sponsor deliverables
  • On-going subrecipient follow-ups
  • Etc. . .

The SeRA “My Reminders” option enables you to set personal reminders within the system. Reminders can be general or linked to a SPO, RRA, or Transaction. Additionally, you can schedule a system generated email associated with your reminders. Set “Due Dates,” “High Priority,” and more within your reminders to ensure you never miss an action item, deadline, or milestone.  

Let’s Do This:

  1. Using your SUNet ID and passphrase log into the Stanford Electronic Research Administration (SeRA) system at https://sera.stanford.edu/
  2. There are 3 quick ways to Add Reminders in SeRA.
  • Option 1: On the left-hand side of your SeRA home (landing) page, select the new bell icon for My Reminders.
    • Then click on "Add Reminder" to add a new reminder.

  • Option 2: On the right-hand side of your SeRA home (landing) page, select the "Add Reminder" option under Quick Links.

  • Option 3: If you're already working on a Transaction, you can add a reminder from the Transaction Home page in the "My Reminders" section.

  1. To complete the reminder:
    • A. Select the most appropriate Type.
      • If you elect to add a reminder while working on a Transaction, the Type will default to "Transaction."
    • B. Detail the Reminder in the free text field.
    • C. Optional: notate as High Priority, set a Due Date, Notify me on date, and identify the Status as either "To-Do" or "Completed."
    • D. Select Save to add reminder.

 

  • Any open reminders will immediately populate on the My Reminders page, and, if linked to a SPO, RRA, or Transaction, the reminder can be found in the “My Reminders” section on the Transaction Home page.
  • If selected, email reminders are sent on the “Notify me on” date to your Stanford email address.
  • Open reminders can be managed via the “Edit” icon.
  • Navigate from My Reminders page directly to the SPO/RRA or ID#.
  • Run the “Completed Reminders Report” on the My Reminders page to view completed reminders. 

     

Note: My Reminders is an individual SeRA resource. Any reminders set will only be assignable and viewable to yourself, whether on your My Reminders page or within a SPO record.
