SciENcv Mandatory for NSF Biographical Sketch and Current & Pending Support

Effective October 23, 2023, use of SciENcv is mandatory for preparation of NSF biographical sketches and current and pending (other) support. The fillable PDFs can no longer be uploaded in Research.gov.

NSF Biographical sketch

NSF requires a biographical sketch for each individual identified as senior personnel. See the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) Chapter II.D.2.h(i) for complete coverage on the content and formatting requirements for the biographical sketch.  This includes, but is not limited to, information related to domestic and foreign appointments and positions.  The certification language is included within SciENcv.  SciENcv records an individual’s certification when they download the PDF version of their biosketch from SciENcv (second below image).  The certification of NSF bio sketches MAY NOT be delegated to administrators.

NSF Current and Pending (Other) Support

NSF requires information on all current and pending support for ongoing projects and proposals. Detailed information about the content is available in the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) Chapter II.D.2.h(ii).  This includes, but is not limited to, information related to current, pending, and other support (both foreign and domestic).  The certification language is included within SciENcv.  SciENcv records an individual’s certification when they download the PDF version of their Current and Pending Support from SciENcv (second below image).  The certification of NSF Current and Pending Support MAY NOT be delegated to administrators.
